(This was the last photo I took of Grandpa Lundberg. It is also the only one I have of him with Evelyn. He passed about three weeks later.)
I can hardly believe it has been two years since Grandpa Lundberg's passing. I miss him so much. Even though he was technically Nate's grandpa, and actually more of a Father figure to him than a Grandpa, I definitely consider him my Grandpa too. From the moment I met him I loved him. Well, maybe not the moment I met him. One of the first things he ever said to me, was that I had a low self esteem. I remember thinking, "Huh? Where did you get that?" Now, to back up a little I should tell you that he was a Marriage and Family Counselor, and that he had a knack for instantly pulling you into a "counseling session". Seriously, you would sit down to have a bowl of cereal and four hours later you would walk away from the table wondering what just happened to you. I don't even remember what it was that I had said to have him tell me that. He was probably right at the time. I was 18, and still figuring out who I was gonna be in life. NEWS FLASH: I still haven't figured it out completely. Nate and I actully give him a lot of credit for our marriage, and our communication. We will always cherish our trips down to St. George to soak up the sun and Grandpa's words of wisdom. I miss you Grandpa. Til we meet again.
