"We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwart's School of Wizardry at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida........We await your owl in confirmation.......Transportation to Hogwarts will depart from King's Cross Station, Salt Lake City Airport, Gate 9 3/4 ....Yours sincerely, Minerva McGonagall Deputy Headmistress"
He was ecstatic to say the least. The very least. All the kids can hardly stand that we get to go to Orlando for a much needed family vacation. Mom and Dad included.
We set up a table out in the shade on the driveway and enjoyed his favorite dinner, Shells and Cheese. Then we sent himn inside so the other kids could hide his present. We then blindfolded him and played the Hot/Cold game with him. Ally kept waving her hand in his face to make sure he couldn't see.
He was very excited to get his very first and very own soccer ball. Since changing schools in April he has gained a new found love of the sport. He has been asking for a soccer ball since his third day there, I swear.
We then spent some time breaking it in and working off our dinner. It was super fun.
Then it was Strawberry Ice Cream, (cake will come later at the "real" b-day party) and a nice stroll around the neighborhood in which he couldn't resist telling everyone "the good news". Don't you worry, before he headed off to bed he sent back his reply, "Dear Minerva, Ethan Mills would like to accept the place in Hogwarts School of Wizardy. Ethan Mills"
No birthday is complete without a photo with mom and the birthday boy. I just wish he would take me seriously when I tell him I will put him in the corner if he grows another inch. Stinking disobedient child. Love ya Birthday Boy. Hope you had a good one.
