"Are Your Clothes Hung Up?"

I started going through the kids closets today to purge them of the clothes they no longer fit in and to see what I need to get them to be ready for this next school year. When I got to Rylands closet this is what I found.

I don't know what it says of me as a mother that I had no idea that this was how he was hanging up his clothes. I ask him this question daily and when I am downstairs I do a quick scan of the room and since I don't see them strewn about the floor I don't stress. Not to say that I am gonna start stressing now. I might spend a few more minutes with him about the correct technique but for now, eh, he's six.....and what ya gonna do?

Marjorie Pay Hinckley on Mothers

"Be a Mother who is committed to loving her children into standing on higher ground than the environment surrounding them. Mother's are endowed with a love that is unlike any other love on the face of the earth."

Would you like that boiled or burned?

The kids have been on a hard boiled egg kick lately. This morning around 9:45 am I started boiling them some more. I then got busy doing other things, paying bills, nagging the kids to get their chores done, had an impromptu visit from my mom, checked my email, you get the idea. Fast forward to 11:20 am. I walk back into the kitchen, and WHAT is that smell????
I rush over to the forgotten eggs and voila! The water had evaporated, some of the eggs shells had cracked and they were all burned. What are ya gonna do?
