Thou Shalt Not Covet

I want this. Right now I can't have it. It's a difficult feeling. Luckily my mom has this and she sometimes shares. Like this last month while she was all but backpacking across parts of Europe with her awesome hubby, Bob.

I have used this wonderful steamer to clean my blinds, my bathrooms, every inch of my pantry, kitchen, cabinets, fridge, the Ogden nightmare, my hardwood floors, need I go on? Today I am hoping to attack a few more places around the house (and minivan) before it gets whisked away back to it's rightful owner. I will miss it. While it is gone I will keep a lookout for the all elusive money-tree so that I can finally have one of my very own and stop feeling so covetous. Don't worry, it's not like keeping up with the Joneses, it's trying to keep up with my amazing Mom. Which I promise you is a VERY worthwhile and lofty goal to have in this life.

Flashback Friday: Germany

In honor of Father's Day this week I am dedicating this weeks Flashback Friday to my Dad. This is a photo of him in the early 60's while on his LDS mission to Germany. Isn't he handsome?

My Dad is an amazing Dad. He is always there when you need him and sometimes even when you didn't think you did. Like yesterday, which I will explain next week during the "Reveal" of my current project. Let's just put it this way, it was a doozey and he showed up in the nick of time to save the day. Love that. Love him. He is always available to talk to, I never felt he was too busy to talk to me when I needed him. He is also a VERY fun Dad and Grandpa. He can always be counted on for tickle fights, horsey rides, a quick chase and definitely squeels of delight. He is still very fast despite kissing that moose back in 2008. (Man Meets Moose 2008, posted in Feb 2010) In fact in the last few months alone I was forced to jump over the back of a couch in order to be able to scramble away from him while my kids egged him on to tickle me. Of course my response was that I had given him grandkids so that he could tickle them and NOT me! Good times.

I could go on and on about my Dad and how much he means to me, but I will finish up by saying, I love you Dad and Happy Father's Day!

Busy

Sorry today's post wasn't more interesting, and that it is so late. I was busy doing dirt and or project therapy. Almost done. Check back next week for the big reveal. Then you will understand.

Sweet Sixteen Times Two

Today this baby turned Thirty-2. My how the time flies. Gone are the days of wishing I was older, counting down the days til my next birthday and the next level of "freedom". Funny how when you are a kid you misinterpret responsibility for freedom. I can't believe how fast the time goes. Don't get me wrong, I am not lamenting the addition of another year. Even if it brings with it the deepening of my smile lines, crows feet and the addition of yet another varicose vein. They are the signs that I have lived. I have been here. I have made it another year. Thirty-2 to be exact.

My Favorites At 32!
Favorite Color: red, yellow, green, black, cream, shall I go on?
Favorite Food: anything with cheese
Favorite TV Show: Greys Anatomy
Favorite Song: too difficult to choose
Favorite Thing To Do: gardening, photography, being w/ my family, running
Favorite Movie: too difficult to choose
Favorite Book: too difficult to choose

I know I put down "too difficult to choose" a few times, but what can I say? I am an extremely well rounded person. (insert sarcasm) Oh, and Happy Flag Day!

Photo Shoot Sunday: Over At The Orchard

This is my last set of photos from the Orchard photo shoot, I promise. I know this is my fourth post about it, but I can't help it. I love them all. I tried to spread them out a bit so you didn't feel inundated with them, but you still probably did. Oh well, life's rough. You have to admit, they are stinking cute kids.
