Mondays with Marjorie

"We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are."

Remember When It Was Ally's Birthday?

I am so behind on my blogging. Here I thought with the kids in school I would have all of this time. Let's just say it isn't panning out that way! It's been a month since Al's birthday and I haven't even shown her "party".
All summer she kept telling us she wanted a snorkeling set for her Birthday. So, I made sure I had one on hand for her big day, when what does she do? Break her arm. I asked her if she wanted something different now, given the fact that she wouldn't be swimming anytime soon. Nope. Still wanted a snorkeling set. Alrighty baby girl! Here you go:

It was so funny watching her walk around the house with those on. Since she hasn't gone swimming since she got them she just had to put them to use in the tub. I don't think it was the same.

Ethan's Last Pack Meeting

Ethan's last Cub Scout Pack meeting was awesome! I still can't believe my boy is no longer a Cub, but an actual Boy Scout! Where does the time go? He earned the Super Achiever Award in Webelos, which means he earned all 20 pins that you can earn in Webelos. He also earned the World Conservation patch. Way to go kid!

This is when Ethan, was presented with his neckerchief for the Boy Scout troop he is moving on to.

Ethan was asked to give a small presentation of some of the things he had done this last summer while in Boy scouts. Those Cubs sure got excited about Boy Scouts.

This was Ethan when he turned eight and joined Cub Scouts. Look how he has grown, and how decorated his uniform has become through the years. He sure has worked hard.

Flower Quote
