Hunger Games

Nate, Ethan and I went to see the new Hunger Games movie today on opening day. All three of us loved the books so we were really excited to watch it on the big screen. We were not disappointed.

Flashback Friday: Midway March 2009

Every February or March we head out to Midway, Utah to stay in our timeshare for a long weekend. It is the perfect thing to look forward to after the Holidays are over. This particular year we took a few extra kids along. My sister Jen had just barely had her fourth baby and so we took her two oldest kids with us to help her get a little break.

A couple of Nate's siblings are owners of the same Time Share, so there is usually a few of us up there at the same time. This particular time it was us, the Franklins and Matt Mills family.

Friends and Fat Cat's

We try to get together with our good friends from College, the Butchers and the Heiners, a couple of times a year. Whenever we do we have an excellent time. It is always a time full of laughter. We unfortunately never feel like it is enough time together.

 This particular night we went to Fat Cat's to go bowling and hang out. You know, like College kids do. Forgive the quality of the pictures. It was dark and we were only using cell phones.

 

Evie's First Bike

Last June Evie was finally ready for her first bike. She had a riot on that little thing all summer long.

Flashback Friday: 5K Family Fun

Back in September a few of my family ran a 5k in South Ogden together. Since I had been running the trails every Saturday morning I decided that I didn't want to forego my favorite trail run in lieu of a 5k. So, I got up early and hit the trails with a few of friends for a 5 miler. As soon as I got back to my car I had to hustle to make the starting line. I can't even remember my finishing time, because it wasn't very impressive after having already ran the trail. I was wiped out! But, still, good times were had by all and that is all that really matters!

Still had a little left in me at the end. Either that or I was so overjoyed to be done for the day!

Looking forward to racing season starting again. In fact this crew, plus a few more, will be running another 5k together next Saturday. Wahoo!

Snow, For A Little While Anyway

We had such a mild winter this year that when there was even a hint of snow the kids were all over it! We had the Mote kids over to play and had a great time working with what we had. It was super fun while the snow lasted, which I think was around two hours.

Star

Tonight Ethan earned his Star rank in Boy Scouts. He is also up to 49 merit badges! Cannot believe how hard this 12 year old has worked on his scouting. We are so proud of him Looks like there is more sewing to be done. Our poor fingertips are sure tender. Totally worth it!
