Photo Shoot Sunday: Why I Love Where I Live : There Is Beauty All Around

For today's Photo Shoot Sunday I thought I would share a few more pictures we have taken recently of where we live.
We just love where we live.
It is just a peaceful, beautiful setting for our little community.
We thoroughly enjoy looking at the beautiful mountains,
no matter the season,
and we really enjoy the beautiful sunsets we have here as well.
We are so grateful for the opportunity we have to live here
and raise our family here.

Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Tonight was the Relief Society Birthday dinner. It was super fun. It was themed after the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. Everyone was to wear a hat. If you didn't they made you a beautiful tissue paper hat. We had a great time. Here is a fun photo from that night with some of my friends from the Willard 5th ward.

Photo Shoot Sunday: Cheeks

When I came across these pictures of Evelyn from March of 2008 I just knew I had to feature them on a Photo Shoot Sunday. Just look at those cheeks! Those eyes! She is just so munchable. I cannot believe that that these were taken five years ago. Honestly it feels like it has been so much longer than that. My sweet, fun, little baby has become my sweet, fun, little girl. I just love her.

Flashback Friday: Sydneys Baptism and the Lodge 2008

We always enjoy our time as a family up at the Laketown Lodge. But this particular trip up was even more meaningful. We had it planned to go up for the weekend of our niece, Sydney's baptism. It was the first weekend of March. Well, the fourth of February is when my Dad and his wife Fran, had their moose accident. My Dad ended up only being released from the hospital the day of the Baptism. They allowed he and Fran to travel up to the Lodge to participate in the Baptism and then he headed straight back to the hospital for one final check and was then released. He had been in there for a month. We were so grateful we were able be together with him in celebration instead of in mourning.

The Lodge is always full of good times and good food and this day was no exception. We returned after the Baptism to eat a feast and to take some pictures with Dad.

Flashback Friday: Venture Ice Skating

For today's Flashback Friday I thought I would post these cute pictures of my sweet Ally girl from February 2011. We went on a Field Work to the Ice Sheet in Ogden to go Ice Skating. Ally did really well considering that she hadn't gone since she was around four years old.

Ally with two of her good friends, Samantha D., and Alex F.
She and Alex had gone to school at Three Mile Creek Elementary as well. I believe at the time that she had a little bit of a crush.
