Piano Recital - February 2015

The kids had a piano recital tonight. 

We are happy to still be taking lessons

from Brother Barker...a definite perk to not having the house sell last year. :)

Ethan played

and Journey to the Heart.

It is fun to hear the kids play more and more technical pieces. 

Ally played

Fur Elise and Night of Spring 

she memorized them but her nerves got the better of her a little. She was embarrassed but she shouldn't have been, she did great. 

Ryland played 

Spanish Fiesta and the Fox Hunt.

He did a great job and even bowed to the crowd when he was done.

My kids all did a great job and I am just so grateful they are learning this awesome talent. I hope at least one of them plays throughout their whole life. Excited to add Evelyn to the list in the next couple of months.

We forgot to take a picture of me and the kids together on Mother's Day so we hurried and snuck one in before the older kids piano recital.

 They all did such a great job! I am so impressed with how much they are learning.

Mills Musical Moments

Back on November 12th, aka: Ryland's birthday and Baptism, our kids had a Piano Recital.
Ethan and Ally moved to a different Piano teacher at the beginning of the year. Brother Barker, as we call him, is AWESOME! The kids have learned so much from him and grown by leaps and bounds in their ability.

Ryland started taking piano in June when school got out. He is doing so well! I have been very impressed. His recital songs were:
It was impressive that he was even able to sit down and play at all, he was so excited that he was 8 that day and getting baptized only a few short hours after the Recital.

Ally has been taking piano now for about 3 1/2 years. Her Recital pieces were: She did a great job!

Ethan has been taking piano now for almost five years. He especially has a love for playing the piano. His Recital pieces were:

About two weeks ago Ethan had his first Advanced Band Concert for this school year. He plays the trumpet and they all did an exceptionally good job. So fun to hear them all improve over the year!

Christmas Piano Recital 2009

This was Ladybug's 2nd year taking piano lessons . This year she played "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" and "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas". She did a GREAT job!
I got a kick out of seeing her bare feet crossed and swinging while she played her songs!

Tiny Man has been taking for three years now. He is doing amazing! He loves to just sit at tbe piano and play...whether he has practiced that day or not. He played "Merry Christmas" and "Candle Glow".
It was another great Recital!
